There is so much I can say about these two, as they are both good friends of mine. But I’ll keep it simple. All I can say is I laughed, I cried, I had to recompose myself in some sweet precious moments, and I danced my feet off. Every single guest in that room was a true reflection of this couple; friendly, ready to party, no fuss no drama. It was just a gathering of genuine people, just like Maggie and Derek.

There is something uplifting and inspiring in watching two people who love each other. Alex and Nishant encapsulate this statement in its purest form. They are simply beautiful…inside and out. These two did what many people think is impossible, or at the very least improbable. They proved that long distance relationships are possible and that love conquers all!
Upon my arrival I was swooning at how stunning the pair looked. Alex bespoke elegance in her Atelier Pronovias gown, accompanied with a pair of unabashedly feminine and delicate earrings that were handmade by Nishant’s grandfather and gifted to the bride. Nishant himself, looked incredibly dapper in his Hugo Boss suit.
One of my many favorite moments, was when Alex gifted each of her parents customized handkerchiefs that were hand stitched with the lyrics of a song that each one of them sang to her every night before bed when she was a little girl. Nishant’s mother and nani were also gifted customized handkerchiefs for their “Tears of Joy”. These are the kind of small details that make such a romantic day so memorable.
With the help of the ever so talented Azar, from Principal Planner, every single detail was carefully curated to fit the bride’s vision. From the classic invitations made by Paper Ideas, to the bonbonieres and beautiful floral arrangements by Flowers by Fleur Desjardins, no detail was overlooked.
Yet, it should be mentioned that the road leading up to their BIG DAY was met with a hiccup that would make any bride and groom nervous. The original plan was to hold the ceremony and reception at the Montreal Science Centre. Unfortunately, an issue arose with the planned venue 5 weeks prior to their wedding day, forcing them to find another venue on such a short notice. Hats off to this amazing duo! The way they navigated this unexpected bump under such tumultuous circumstances is a testament on how well they handle situations together as a couple.
Albeit, in the end, this day was purely magical. The pair hosted the ceremony and the reception at the gorgeous Windsor Station lead by the band who knows how to throw a party; The Directors . Nishant’s sister Roshni, had the honor of officiating the wedding ceremony surrounded by friends and family who gathered from near and far to witness a perfectly matched union and enjoy a day of celebration that went well into the wee hours.
As much as Alex’s beauty and million dollar smile captivated everyone around her, no one was more drawn in than Nishant. Every time I turned around, they were holding hands, stealing a kiss, or laughing together. These two beautiful souls, who are from such different upbringings and backgrounds have thread their love for each other, in which no seam is visible.
Thank you Alex and Nishant for inviting me to document all the special moments that made up your wedding day. I wish you a beautiful life together and more adventures in Toronto.

It is with great pleasure that I present you the wonderful wedding of Marie-Joelle Parent and Geoffrey De Wilde. I met Marie-Joelle Parent over a decade ago, while she was in based out of Montreal and modelling. I have to say, she has been quite a pleasure to photograph throughout the years and always has been one of my favorite models. It is with all her grace that she soon put that career to rest and followed her dreams of journalism straight to NYC. You can very well follow her journey here. You may also know her for her book 300 reasons to love New York. Needless to say, I was beyond touched when I got the call from her, requesting our services for her big day. Our communication was done through skype and emails only, so when I finally met Geoff; I was blown away by his polite and solid independent nature, his bold and yet graceful demeanour all wrapped up in one handsome man! Together, they are one charming pair!
The NYC couple decided to get married in charming Old Quebec, in order to make sure the bride’s grand parents could attend the day as they were an inspiration to them with more than 65 years of mariage. Marie-Joelle got ready at the one and only Chateau Frontenac while Geoff took the urban route and airbnb’ed it in the heart of Old Quebec, making for some very different and fun photos. Most guests were coming from the United States and were immediately charmed by Old Quebec, especially the courtyard of Le Petit Séminaire de Quebec where the cocktails happened in the summer heat and gorgeous golden light sunset. The picturesque Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church where the registers goes back to the 1600s and where ships hang down from the ceiling like chandeliers) and the reception venue; La Chapelle du Musee de L’Amérique Francophone. The party followed by the coolest sounds of the Dave Brown and the Versatiles, 8-piece Motown band, who flew in from Brooklyn for the special occasion.
Here are some other fun facts:
Marie Joelle parents stunning two piece dress was from Montreal’s boutique Anne Jean Michel
Geoff’s dapper look was non other than Ralph Lauren
Caterer and cake was from La Mangue Verte
Hair and Make up by Montreal’s Martine L’heureux

With lots of Love to you both,
When I met Tristano & Christina, it was instant chemistry. They are such sweet souls and so calm, you can only be smitten by their charm. I can honestly say that I lived this wedding to the core. If anyone follows my posts on Instagram, you may remember this. I had expressed to her how much I adored her earrings. So in her thoughtful nature, she ended up mailing me a pair, along with a heartfelt thank you card for our work. If you’re one of my future brides, you will most probably see me wear them on your wedding day! I adore them, and wear them all the time. (Thank you again Christina!)
As for our groom, Tristano (aka dimples!) he is not only a good looking and kind gentleman, but also a talented musician. At the end of the night, he joined his band and sang to his new bride. It was quite impressive and a great moment I won’t soon forget. Wishing you both a great life, filled with joy and baby giggles (soon!)
Some fun info!
Christina’s dress is from Galleria della sposa
Tristano’s suit from the wonderful Waxman House
Florist was Georgina & Colette Decoratrice
and the cake by Rustique
The event was held at the Golf Course Le Monarque (Groupe Madison)
And the cute church was St-Joseph Parish on Gouin E.
What a gorgeous day September 27th 2015 was. It was a special day for everyone actually, as it was the night where a super rare harvest moon happened. I remember how they stopped their speech right on time to send everyone outside the Windsor Ballroom , where the wedding was held, and we all watched the moon turn blood red together… Everyone was singing and hugging and just enjoying the moment. It was truly magical and I’ll never forget it myself. It was so much fun to be a part of it with their friends.
Anthony and Jenna were together for 8 years prior to tying the knot in Montreal. In fact they lived in Vancouver and now reside in Ottawa, but the couple wanted some type of destination wedding and therefore chose Montreal as a fun little escape for their close friends and family.
Needless to say, I will forever be grateful for the trust the couple invested in me, particularly because the groom is also a photographer himself . Thank you Anthony!!
They met 5 years ago at her father’s 50th birthday party. He worked for her father’s company and each one of them didn’t know the other one even existed. But it was love at first sight! The instant chemistry and connection swept her off her feet. Conversations were easy and she never questioned his intentions with her. Because she knew from that moment, he was going to be her husband one day. And so their love bloomed into a sweet fairytale, and so was their wedding. Check it out.
For some of you who don’t know, I’m also a fashion photographer.
I am proud to announce that we’ve been hand selected by the editors of the highly respected American wedding magazine Grace Ormonde Wedding Style to be featured on their site

Its a pretty sweet deal to have front row seats to two people who are embarking in a life long adventure together in the name of Love. And being a documentarian, I kind of fall in love with all my couples every weekend. I live every moment very much in the present and through my lenses, tell your story. Often times, hiding some sappy tears back, even if I’ve been doing this for 16 years.
I want to introduce to you Morgan and Nic. And for those who follow me, they are what most of my instagrammers are referring to as “That beautiful barn wedding”.
My love and admiration for Morgan and Nic was (and still is) a special kind of love. If I had to describe the feeling of shooting their wedding; it would be described as young summer vacation love. Where the butterflies aren’t only in your stomach but actually in the field your standing in. A summer love where the skies are blue and the air is fresh. One that remains engraved in your heart and is described as a young, happy and flawless. Held in her aunts Fauna, right in the outskirts of Montreal; it involved a food truck, homemade pies, a barn, some goats, a vintage car and a bon fire. Nic build the dinner tables, Morgan organized all the flowers and details. The perfect match.
I won’t say much more. It was hard to choose just a few to put on this blog.
So, you’ve been warned.,,prepare yourself to fall in love too…

She wanted cherry blossoms….
Olga who is a witty and gentle woman, along with her charming Russian hubby Iaroslav, trusted me from the get-go. But one thing she wanted for sure were… Cherry blossoms!! The calls, emails and pinterest boards were kicking in, and I was starting to wonder where we could find such beautiful trees and just as importantly a location that will fit our time frame. But Olga was on a mission to find them in Montreal!! And she did! On the gorgeous sunny day of May 23, 2015, we walked our way through the beautiful gardens of jardin-botanique until we found one! It turned out to be this tiny, itsy bitsy tree…after a few laughs, we made it work! At least I think we did, what do you think? I wish you nothing but love and sunshine for your days to come, big hug to you both! Thank you for your trust in us.Patty Magnolia Studio
